With an enviable string of horses there are few competition days when Oliver is not in action - last year that included steering five horses around Burnham Market's advanced track the day after standing on the winners podium at Pratoni. 2007 was Oliver's best season to date - he clocked up a massive 1886 British Eventing points. Oliver's Members Club Once you have joined Oliver's members club you will be able to login to the member's area of Oliver's website where you will find all the details about Oliver's horses, who owns them, how they are getting on etc, plus information about the members of the ODT Team who keep the show on the road. The Members area also contains the photo gallery, with both competition photos and all those 'behind the scenes' shots from the yard and around the lorry at events. Details of where Oliver is competing, clinics he is taking and course walks he will do are updated through the on-line calendar as events are booked. Oliver also sends Members a monthly email newsletter and new members will be sent a signed photograph and an Oliver Townend baseball cap. Renewing Members receive an Oliver Townend Mouse Mat. Each year Oliver hosts his Members Club party to which all Members are invited. It is held at his yard in Ellesmere, Shropshire and is not something to be missed! The Oliver Townend Eventers Challenge A brand new eventers’ challenge was launched in 2007, proving an instant success with riders. So successful was the inaugural year that the event was expanded for 2008, and it is going from strength to strength. Classes are categorised by both fence height and rider age, with competitors tackling a course of show jumps and cross country fences. Qualifiers from each venue go through to a final in December. There were more than 30 events this year, held over a three month period from mid-September to the end of November. Fence heights range from 2'3" to 3'3".
